Three Key Products from the Bio-refining of Cereal Crops

(Bio)Ethanol:  the wheat is broken down in a digestive process and the starch compounds fermented to produce alcohol.  By way of a distillation process, ethanol is derived which can be blended as a liquid fuel alternative for road transport - a renewable transport fuel.

Dried Distilled Grains and Solids (DDGS):  the protein content of the wheat feedstock is concentrated during the refining process to provide a high quality animal feed.  This provides a valuable and domestically sourced alternative to imported soy-meal.

CO2:  another co-product from the fermentation process, gaseous CO2 is captured and will be utilised by local food, drink and industrial companies.
